Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino heeft voor de populaire HBO televisieserie ‘True Blood’ een duet opgenomen met niemand minder dan Iggy Pop. Het nummer ‘Let’s Boot and Rally’ is niet het eerste speciaal voor de serie geschreven duet. Nick Cave en Neko Case schreven eerder al speciaal het prachitge ‘She’s Not There’. Iggy Pop: “I’ve always liked to bite. I guess this makes me a singing vampire, does this mean I have a license to suck? Best Coast zal ook te horen zijn op het nieuwe coveralbum van Fleetwood Mac. MGMT, The Kills, Marianne Faithful, Antony Hegarty(Antony And The Johnsons), ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons en Lykke Li zullen ook hun bijdrage leveren aan deze nieuwe plaat. Dat het goed gaat met Best Coast mag maar duidelijk zijn.
