Op 25 oktober brengt Van Morrison zijn nieuwe plaat ‘Three Chords and the Truth’ uit. Op het album staan 14 eigen composities die moeiteloos aantonen dat Van Morrison een van de grootste songwriters van zijn generatie is.
‘Three Chords and the Truth’ is zijn zesde plaat in vier jaar tijd. Morrison schreef en produceerde alles zelf; enkel bij ‘If We Wait for Mountains’ kreeg hij hulp van Don Black. Gitarist Jay Berliner speelt eveneens mee op het album en het nummer ‘Fame Will Eat the Soul’ is een duet met Bill Medley van The Righteous Brothers.
