Mary J Blige heeft afgelopen vrijdag haar nieuwe single ‘Rent Money'(feat. Dave East) uitgebracht. Het nummer is terug te vinden op haar nieuwe album ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’, dat op 11 februari uitkomt en waarban in december al de singles ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’ en ‘Amazing'(feat. DJ Khaled) zijn verschenen. Blige heeft het album geschreven met D’Mile, H.E.R., Lucky Daye, en Tiara. Mary J Blige treedt volgende maand op tijdens de jaarlijkse Super Bowl Halftime show in Californië.
Mary J Blige heeft voor het album tracks opgenomen met onder andere DJ Khaled, Anderson .Paak en Usher. De inspiratie voor het album komt uit de journey naar selflove en het worden van je eigen beste vriend. Een reis die de Amerikaanse artiest ook persoonlijk heeft afgelegd.
