Voor het eerst in 37 jaar gaan jazzgrootheden Herbie Hancock en Chick Corea weer met elkaar op tournee. Hancock en Corea kondigen nu een wereldtournee aan, waarbij de twee grootheden met elkaar op piano zullen optreden. De start is 14 maart in Seattle, daarna trekken de twee giganten nog door heel de Verenigde Staten, Asië, Australië om af te sluiten met enkele Europese optredens.
Chick Corea en Herbie Hancock leerden elkaar kennen als bandleden van de band van Miles Davis, in de zestiger jaren. Samen met de trompetist namen ze onder anderen de topalbums ‘In a silent way’ en ‘Bitches Brew’ op.
Ondanks dat er nog geen concert in Nederland is geboekt, staan er enkele optredens dicht in de buurt op het programma.
