R.E.M. draagt haar steentje bij aan dit jaar’s Record Store Day festiviteiten met de release van ‘Unplugged: The Complete 1991 and 2001 Sessions’. De 4 LP’s tellende verzameling telt beide optredens die de band gaf voor MTV’s “MTV Unplugged” akoestische serie optredens. De release bevat 11 tracks die niet te zien zijn geweest tijdens de uitzending op MTV. Tijdens het eerste optreden waren er veel nummers te horen van het uit 1991 daterende album ‘Out of Time’ en nog van vijf albums. Het tweede optreden stond in het teken van het album ‘Reveal’ (2001).
‘Unplugged: The Complete 1991 and 2001 Sessions’ op 4 vinyl LP’s ligt vanaf 19 april in de winkels, vanaf 20 mei zijn zowel de CD- en de digitale versie beschikbaar.
