In oktober verscheen ‘We Stand Alone’, de debuut-EP van George Cosby. Deze week bracht de Britse zanger met de karakteristieke stem en voorliefde voor romantische cinema, zijn eerste nieuwe muziek van 2022 uit. De single ‘Lonely Heartbeats’ – niet toevallig uitgebracht rond Valentijnsdag – heeft de klassieke ingrediënten van een romcom: ‘excitement and anticipation, but also fear and anxiety’.
George vertelt over het nummer: “Lonely Heartbeats is a story of two people who have such a spark, but remain only at the precipice of romance. There’s hesitation due to the risk of damaging a friendship. It’s full of grand statements and imagery sweeping from the rising tension and their pull to each other.”
