Alpines brengt deze maand een live EP uit getiteld ‘Another River’ (Live at Metropolis Studios). Op de EP staan live uitvoeringen van nummers afkomstig van het vorig jaar verschenen studioalbum ‘Another River’.
Het uit Londen afkomstige duo bestaat uit Catherine Pockson en Bob Matthews en maakt slimme, pakkende R&B. De 5 nummers op de EP werden live opgenomen en gefilmd in de legendarische Metropolis Studios in Londen. De met een Grammy genomineerde ingenieur Liam Nolan nam de live EP op. Alpines werd ook vergezeld door een aantal getalenteerde muzikanten, waaronder India Bourne (cellist van Ben Howard).
Alpines verteld over de live EP: “After being on tour earlier this year, we felt the live performances let the songs breathe in a different way and we wanted to capture that energy. So we brought a group of talented musicians together to showcase the songs in this new form at the legendary Metropolis Studios.”
De EP ‘Another River’ (Live at Metropolis Studios) is vanaf 18 augustus beschikbaar.
