Onlangs heeft de Britse singer-songwriter Luke Sital-Singh zijn EP ‘Films Songs’ uitgebracht. De EP – die alleen beschikbaar is op Spotify – bevat Luke’s interpretaties van de iconische muziekmomenten uit zijn favoriete films.
“One of the great things about music is its way of enhancing the experiences and emotions we all go through. Basically how great songs soundtrack our lives. What would life be like without soundtracks? Can you imagine your favourite film without that bit with that song? It doesn’t bear thinking about.”, legt Luke uit. Op de EP staan onder anderen covers van nummers uit de films Blue Valentine, The Royal Tenenbaums en Romeo + Juliet.
Aanstaande vrijdag zal de getalenteerde singer-songwriter te bewonderen zijn tijdens Lowlands. Op 25 september keert Luke terug naar ons land voor een concert in het MC Theater in Amsterdam. Kaarten voor dit concert zijn reeds in de verkoop gegaan.
Op 5 september a.s. verschijnt het debuutalbum ‘The Fire Inside’ van Luke. Op het album staan onder andere de nummers ‘Greatest Lovers’, ‘Nearly Morning’ en zijn nieuwe single ‘Nothing Stays The Same’.
